The standard incandescent bulbs currently lighting your home have changed very little from Thomas Edison's first light bulb in 1879. Only 10% of the energy used by these standard bulbs contributes to light; the other 90% is wasted as heat. ENERGY STAR qualified CFLs provide the same high-quality light as incandescent bulbs, but generally operate at temperatures of less than 100 °F. Why spend money heating rooms in your home with lighting? Advanced technology enables CFLs to use 75% less energy than a standard incandescent bulb and last up to 10 times longer. This means that over the life of one CFL, you can avoid replacing up to 10 incandescent bulbs! The super efficient performance of CFLs also means you can save at least $75.00 in energy costs over the life of each CFL that replaces an incandescent bulb, based on a minimum life of 6,000 hrs. at $.20 KWh.

The latest development in "green" lighting for homes, offices, commercial buildings, ect., is called T5 lighting. T5 lights are 15% - 50% more energy efficient. T5 refers to the diameter of the flourescent tubes. T5 lamps are smaller in but put more light, use less energy, and offer higher intensity output then T12 and T8 lamps. They offer the best flourescent technology and they will soon be the "norm" in places where energy costs are high. We also offer light fixtures with 1 or 2 tube without reflector with bulbs.

For concentrations below 5 PPM, the display remains blank -- however, the unit actually detects levels down to 1 PPM, and values from 1 to 70 PPM are available via the memory recall function.
