Aspen Systems Stovemate® Kettlefan Self-Powered Stove Fan
The environmentally-friendly Stovemate® Kettlefan creates its own power by converting heat from the wood, oil or coal stove into electricity which drives the motor and turns the fan. The bottom surface of the fan is heated by direct contact with the hot stove. A solid state thermoelectric generator built into the base of the fan converts heat into electricity. The power generation subsystem has no moving parts and is inherently highly reliable. The Stovemate® Kettlefan was developed for the U.S. Military to keep our troops warm and comfortable while housed in field shelters. The quiet 12” diameter fan blade gently moves a large volume of air, up to 400 cfm, down over the surface of the stove. This air movement pulls more heat out of the stove before it goes up the chimney, making the stove surface cooler and the stove burn more efficiently. The military documented savings for each fan of hundreds of gallons of fuel annually. The air movement prevents useless stagnation of warm air at the ceiling and instead moves air down and across the room at the floor level, significantly increasing comfort and heat distribution throughout the home.

Features:

  • Designed to enhance performance of catalytic radiant heaters
  • Self-powered and does not require an external power source
  • Improves heat distribution and uniformity within a space through forced convection
  • Heat is distributed more effectively
  • Cold spots are all but eliminated
  • Up to 400 cubic feet per minute of flow increases the fresh air
  • Lowers humidity
  • Added protection against freeze-ups
  • The fan is powered by a thermoelectric module which has no moving parts
  • Heavy-duty DC motor
  • Wire grill on top prevents accidental contact with fan blades
